ORA-12547 during dbca with 9.1

Hi,

Previously I've sucessfully installed ora10g onto Suse 8.1, now want to
install into 9.1PE (Intel box).

Have performed the DISABLE_HUGETBLFS hack to get past shared memory error,
but now unable to create a database using dbca - get an ORA-12547 (See ORA-12547.ora-code.com) 'lost
contact' message.

Any thoughts on how to get past this?
